Refunds

Not for you? We'll refund it

14 days to change your mind, no reason needed. Below: what the rule covers, what it doesn't, and where money paid in crypto or Stars comes back to.

Updated:

14 days

That's how long you have to return a key. No reason needed.

Full amount

You get back everything you paid; a crypto refund is net of the network fee.

Key is revoked

A refund and a working key don't coexist: the key stops working.

1.The rule

A Premium key is refunded within 14 days of payment. You don't have to give a reason — writing to support is enough.

The whole amount comes back. The key is revoked in the process: you can't keep using it and can't get it back afterwards, only buy a new one.

The same rule covers every payment method: cryptocurrency, Telegram Stars and @CryptoBot.

2.When the policy does not apply

There is no refund if:

  • more than 14 days have passed since payment
  • the key was revoked for breaking the usage rules
  • a gift code has already been activated — from then on it is the recipient's key
  • the key did not come from a purchase: a gift, a promo code, a partner hand-out
  • the transfer went out on the wrong network or to the wrong address — we never received that money

Write anyway: even when there is no refund, there is almost always something we can offer instead.

3.How to ask for a refund

Write to support — on the Premium screen in the app, or by email if an address is listed in the company details of the terms.

Say that you want your money back and include: the first characters of the key (VL-7K3M), the email you gave at purchase, and the payment method. For a crypto transfer, add the transaction hash and the address to send the money back to.

Don't send the full key: the first characters are enough for us to find the purchase, and they can't be used to log in.

4.Where the money goes

Money goes back the way it came:

  • Cryptocurrency — a transfer back in the same coin on the same network, to an address you name. We return the same amount in the coin that we received; the network fee for the return transfer is deducted.
  • Telegram Stars — Telegram issues the refund, and the Stars return to the account that paid.
  • @CryptoBot — the amount goes back to the CryptoBot wallet the payment came from.

We can't refund in cash, to a card or to a different wallet: money goes back where it came from.

5.Timing

Once a refund is agreed, we send the money within 5 business days.

After that it is out of our hands: a network confirms a transfer in minutes, and Telegram returns Stars on its own schedule.

6.Gifts

While the code is unactivated, a gift is refunded like any purchase — the money goes back to the buyer.

After activation there is no refund: the term is already running for the recipient. If the gift wasn't needed, the code can simply be left unactivated — it expires at the end of its shelf life.

7.Teams and self-hosting

Corporate package: within the same 14 days we refund seats whose keys have not been issued yet. An issued key counts as used.

Self-hosting: while the node has not been deployed, the full amount comes back. After deployment — for the unused whole days: the server is already paid for at the host.

8.Payment mistakes

Paid twice, sent more than the invoice asked for, or paid an expired invoice — write to support with the transaction hash. We will return the extra or add it to your term, whichever suits you.

A transfer on another network or to someone else's address cannot be returned: that money never reached us and we don't have it.

9.If we are the ones stopping

If we shut the service down, stop a node without a replacement, or cannot restore access, the money for the unused days comes back — even long after the 14 days have passed.

Short outages and maintenance don't count here: for those we extend the term instead.

10.Your rights under the law

This policy does not take away the rights your country's consumer law gives you. Where the law requires more, the law wins.
