Terms

The terms we sell Premium on

No fine print: what you are buying, how the term is counted, when a key gets revoked, and what we are and aren't responsible for.

1.What this document is

This is a public offer — a contract between you and Veli. It takes effect when you pay for a Premium key or start using the app: nothing needs to be signed.

If you disagree with anything below, don't buy a key and don't use the app. There is no other way to opt out of these terms and keep using the service.

Three more pages are part of this contract: Refunds, Privacy and Transparency.

2.What Veli is

Veli is an app for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, plus our servers. The app is free and works without an account: you connect your own servers to it, and we are not involved in that.

Premium is access to our servers with a key. Everything said below about payment, term and refunds applies to Premium.

Your own server stays your responsibility: the contract with the hosting provider, the bills, and what goes through it. We give you a tool that installs Veli on it; we do not become a party to your relationship with the host.

3.A key instead of an account

There is no registration: the key is the account. Whoever enters the key uses Premium, so keep it like a password.

Your email is needed for the receipt and to recover the key in the cabinet if you lose it. A gift code is not tied to the buyer's email.

A key has a device limit, stated in the plan. Devices are listed in the cabinet, and you can disconnect any of them yourself.

If a key leaks, it can be reissued: the old one stops working and the paid term moves to the new one.

4.Payment, price and term

You can pay in cryptocurrency to our wallet, with Telegram Stars, or through a @CryptoBot invoice. The price is shown before payment and is locked in the invoice for as long as it lives — 30 minutes.

The coin rate is taken when the invoice opens. Send exactly the amount the invoice names, on the same network: the amount is how we recognise your payment, and a transfer on another network never reaches us.

The Premium term starts when the payment is credited and ends exactly one paid period later. There is no auto-renewal: nothing is charged by itself, and renewing is a new purchase.

The key is issued together with the invoice, before payment, and opens nothing until the money arrives. If less arrives than the invoice expected, or the payment is late, the key will not switch on by itself — write to support with the transaction hash and we will sort it out by hand.

5.Gift codes

A gift code belongs to nobody until the recipient activates it: it is not tied to the buyer's email, and the term starts at activation, not at payment.

A code waits for activation for a limited time — the date is shown at purchase and in the code itself. A code not activated by then expires.

Once activated, the code becomes the recipient's ordinary key, and everything after that is up to them.

6.Team keys and self-hosting

A corporate package is a set of keys plus a cabinet where they are issued, revoked and reissued. A seat counts as taken from the moment its key is issued.

Self-hosting is a dedicated node on our infrastructure. We deploy it within a day of payment and send the connection details by email. The node is yours for the paid period; we do not look at what happens on it.

Moving a node to another country or rebuilding it is arranged with support.

7.Partner programme

Bloggers and resellers work under the rules described on the programme page and accepted when applying. Commission is counted on paid orders that came through your link or your code.

Self-purchases, spam and advertising on behalf of Veli are grounds to close your participation and withhold what has accrued.

8.What we promise and what we don't

We promise this: Premium gives access to our servers for the paid term, we keep no connection logs, we do not sell data, and we fix problems as fast as we can.

We do not promise a particular speed, round-the-clock availability of every node, or that it will work on any network. A VPN is a race against whoever blocks it: an ISP, a mobile network or hotel Wi-Fi can cut the connection regardless of us.

We do not promise access to a particular site, game or service — and we do not promise anonymity: a VPN hides traffic from the network, not from the site you logged into under your own name. Where our reach ends is spelled out on the Privacy page.

Maintenance and node changes happen. If Premium was unavailable for a noticeable stretch because of them, write to support — we will extend your term.

9.How the service may not be used

Through our servers you may not do things that harm other people or the nodes themselves:

  • break the law of the country you are in or the country the node stands in
  • send spam or run bulk mailings
  • scan other people's networks, brute-force passwords, run denial-of-service attacks
  • distribute malware or phishing pages
  • host or distribute child sexual abuse material
  • resell access on our behalf without a partner agreement
  • work around the device limit by technical means

We do not look at your traffic and learn about abuse from the outside: a complaint, a node blocked by the host, an odd load. That is enough to revoke a key.

10.Suspending and revoking a key

A key can be suspended or revoked if it breaks the rules above, if the payment was cancelled or refunded, or if it is used in a way that hurts everyone else on the node.

For a serious violation the remaining term is not refunded. If we suspended a key by mistake, we switch it back on and extend the term by the downtime.

11.Refunds

A key can be returned within 14 days of payment without explaining why. The exceptions, the procedure and where the money goes are on the separate Refunds page, which is part of this contract.

12.Data and privacy

What is stored, why and for how long is on the Privacy page. In short: there are no connection logs and no site addresses; the database holds a hash of the key, the plan, the email and the list of devices.

We answer lawful requests from public authorities with what we have — and we have very little. How that works and how many requests there were is on the Transparency page.

13.The app and updates

You may freely download the app and install it on your devices. Taking it apart and fixing it for yourself is fine; passing it off as your own, selling it under another name and stripping the Premium limits out of it is not.

The app checks for updates and installs them with your consent, and an update's signature is verified before installation. Old versions may stop connecting when the protocol changes.

14.Liability

The service works as is. We answer for what we do ourselves, but not for the consequences of what you do through the VPN, and not for losses caused by the service being unavailable.

If it comes down to money, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the current paid period.

This limit does not take away the rights your country's consumer law gives you.

15.Support and contact

Support lives on the Premium screen in the app: a ticket is tied to your key, and the reply arrives there and as a copy by email. We do not promise response times — a human answers.

Write there about refunds too. If an email address is listed in the company details, writing to it works just as well.

16.Changes to these terms

We may change this document: a new version is published on this page, with the date next to the title. We do not worsen the terms of a period you have already paid for.

If a change does not suit you, stop using the service and ask for a refund under the refund policy.

17.Law and disputes

Correspondence first: almost everything is settled in support in a couple of messages. If it isn't, the dispute is decided under the law of the country stated in the company details.

If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest still stand.
